Dr. Tom Pledger
Thomas M. Pledger, D.C., C.C.S.T., graduated with a
Bachelor's Degree from Indiana University in 1990.
He earned his Doctorate in Chiropractic in August of
1993 and has practiced in Plano and Richardson,
Texas since then.
His passion is to empower each person to take
responsibility for their own healing and health, and
he loves teaching and sharing his wisdom and
knowledge about the human body. Dr. Pledger is one
of those rare and natural teachers who can involve
and intrigue his students with a subject that is
often taught in a dry and academic (and boring) way.
He has taught Anatomy and Physiology to our teacher
training candidates since 2003 and makes each
interactive class pertinent to yoga asanas to deepen
students' learning experiences and make their
learning applicable to teaching yoga to their own
students. He invariably rates the highest
evaluations and many complimentary remarks.
As a professional member of each patient's health
team, Dr. Pledger's goal is to help every patient
achieve a fulfilling and happy lifestyle, able to
enjoy the activities they love most. He recognizes
that each patient is a whole person and that to
reach true health and wellness, there must be a
collaborative effort between the health care
provider and the patient. His commitment assists and
motivates each person to learn more about building,
maintaining, and optimizing their health.
Dr. Pledger holds a Post-Graduate Certification in
Spinal Trauma and is currently pursuing a Diplomate
in Chiropractic Orthopedics with National
University. He was recently granted the Breakthrough
Coaching Doctor of the Year Award and the CEO Award.
He is a charter member of the Commitment to
Excellence Organization. These top honors are from
one of the most prestigious practice management
organizations in the country.
Other Post Graduate studies include Physical
Impairment Rating, Training with the Texas Medical
Association and seminars in Neurology, Radiology,
Disc Treatment, Nutrition, and Rehabilitation.
Dr. Pledger is a member of the Texas Chiropractic
Association and the American Chiropractic
Association. His ongoing goal is to provide the
community a place to learn about and build optimal
