Frequent Asked Questions

What kind of yoga will I be learning to teach?  Please read our article: Yoga, The Vanda Scaravelli Way.

Who are the teachers and what are their qualifications? Please see the Namasté USA Co-Founders Section of the About Us page.

Where are the teacher training classes held? Please see our About Us page for general location information.

How long does it take to complete the training? The 200 hour teacher training program is designed to be completed in 8 to 12 months and the 500 hour program in 14 to 18 months, depending on student progress.  This assumes you do not have to miss any of the scheduled training contact hours and that you complete your individual study requirements within that period of time. This allows students the needed time to absorb, assimilate, and embody the material covered in the training.

What if I have to miss one of the training events or part of one? All missed contact hours must be made up the next time the training missed is presented. Missing class will delay your completion of the program.

Do I need to bring my own yoga props (mat, blankets, block, strap) to the teacher training classes? We believe that serious students need to have their own props for home practice, and we expect our students to bring their own props with them.
