"Yoga… it is a living process that changes moment by moment, watching when we eat. How we eat, when we walk, how we walk, what we say and how we say it. All these things must be present in us and we must be passionately interested in them all."

About Us
Namaste' USA Scaravelli Yoga is located in
Richardson, Texas, a suburb of Dallas. Mission Our mission is to provide our students with a comprehensive
foundation in Yoga. This foundation covers experiential,
practical, and theoretical aspects of Yoga and its potential to
bring about holistic transformation. History of Namasté USA Namasté USA has its roots in the lineage of Krishnamacharya, through
B.K.S. Iyengar, T.K.V. Desikachar, Vanda Scaravelli, and ultimately
through Irene Beer, an internationally known yoga teacher who
resides in Victoria, BC, Canada.
Originally trained in this method by Esther Myers, Irene later
studied privately with Vanda Scaravelli. Through her work with Mr.
Iyengar and Mr. Desikachar, Vanda developed her own system of
practicing Yoga, by synthesizing what she had learned from her two
master teachers with what she experienced in her own body, her
breath, and her ability to access and utilize the energies of the
earth. Eventually Vanda began to teach her discoveries to others.
After working on her own with Vanda’s system, Irene Beer began to
teach it to her students, who were impressed with its results. In 1997 Irene and her husband Bill Beer, M.D.,
co-founded Namasté International, based on the teachings of Vanda Scaravelli.
Originally an affiliate school of Namasté International, Namasté USA
was founded in 2003. Its co-founders, Vicki Johnson and
Carol Stall, worked closely with Bill and Irene Beer for several
years with their program in the Dallas area. After
graduating from Namasté International’s program in 2000, they served
as mentors to the school’s Texas-based students.
Our goal is to assist more and
more students to help share the rewards
of practicing Yoga, as Vanda Scaravelli taught it, with as many
people as possible.
